Be an FHLA Volunteer Volunteering helps to support the many programs sponsored by FHLA. Whether you are working in the FHLA Resale Bookstore, helping with the Books for the Homebound program, or joining the FHLA Board of Directors, you will have an opportunity to meet new people and learn more about the Library. Our volunteers help to make our library the exciting place it is. Join us! Resale Bookstore The FHLA Resale Bookstore makes thousands of dollars available for Library programs at virtually 100% profit, due to our volunteer staffing. To sign up, stop by the bookstore and fill out your information on the sign-up sheet. The volunteer Coordinator, Marge Colbert, will contact you to schedule initial training. You may also call Marge at 480-816-8644. Books for the Homebound Volunteers help to provide a needed service for the community. Meet new friends, learn about the library, and see what others like to read. For more information about the program, see the Books for the Homebound page. To sign up, stop by the FHLA Resale Bookstore, or call the Homebound Hotline at 602-652-3271. Become a Board Member Board of directors members are elected at the Annual General Meeting of the Fountain Hills Library Association. Directors serve for 3-year terms. Each director has a specific area of responsibility. Directors are asked to attend monthly board meetings, unless excused. Directors typically serve on one or more committees. For more information, contact us at info@fhla.net, or contact any of our board members. |
