Books for the Homebound The FHLA Books for the Homebound
brings the library to you when you can't get there. Access the resources of the library, including regular and large print books, new releases and
classics, fiction and non-fiction, and many other items - all without leaving your home. And there is no charge for this service!
About the
program If you enjoy reading but cannot get to the library due to physical illness or disability, we are here to help you. Applicants receive
an initial visit from program volunteers to introduce you to the service, help you apply for a library card, and fill out registration forms.
Volunteers will check out books you have selected or select them for you. Volunteers will arrange to deliver and retrieve books and other materials
at times convenient for you.
Eligibility requirements Any person who is homebound due to a temporary or permanent disability or
illness, and is eligible to obtain a library card may apply for the service through FHLA.
