FHLA (Friends of the Library) recently held its Second Annual Book Festival!

The event was held on Saturday March 8, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Like last year's event, the fun took place on the circle plaza area outside the front entrances of the Library and Community Center.

Activities were chosen which celebrate the importance of books and reading to our community, including: authors signing their books, speakers, music, food, a silent book auction for old, collectible or rare books which have been donated to the Resale Shop, and some children's activities inside the library.

There were also all types of books for sale inside the Resale Shop, Museum, and outside on tables.

All activities (except book sales and food) were to the public.

FHLA hopes you came to enjoy some old-fashioned "bookish fun" and shared your love of books with others who feel the same way!
